Cleaning & Care for Natural Stone

To get the longest life and preserve the beauty of your natural stone, follow these simple tips:

  1. Use coasters under all glasses, most importantly under those containing alcohol or citrus juices.

  2. Use trivets while cooking. Although natural stones may withstand heat it is recommended to help protect its longevity.

  3. Clean stone surfaces with a neutral cleaner, stone soap, or mild liquid dishwashing detergent and warm water.

  4. Cleaning products containing lemon, vinegar, or other acids may dull or etch stones.

  5. Sealing is a common process to help natural stone tops become stain resistant. It is recommended to seal natural stone tops once a year.

  6. For oil-based stains, clean gently with a soft, liquid cleanser such as a household detergent, mineral spirits, or acetone.
